SENIOR TECHNICAL MANAGER – R&D, INNOVATION, LOW CARBON CEMENT (M/F)
Based in Lille – France (dép. 59)
Mission :
Within the centre of excellence in cementitious materials science (the centre brings together a multidisciplinary team working across a shared, state-of-the-art laboratory infrastructure with a major step in progress), reporting to the Technical Director, you lead the team of technical experts dedicated to support the French subsidiary’s business operations. Your scope (not limitative) includes construction site troubleshooting, product performance investigations, new formulation and product development.
For that pourpose, you are in charge of :
· Technical issues : You oversee technical projects and studies from the needs analysis through to the development of appropriate solutions, ensuring their functionality, operational viability, regulatory ans security compliances, while adhering to established performance objectives and the Group’s intellectual property policies.
· A cross-functional technical coordination : As the technical point of contact for the sales and operations teams, you ensure the smooth progress of prioritized projects by liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
· The management of a multicultural team made of four PhD-level experts, whom you lead and motivate.
· Technology watch : By staying attuned to your environment, you stay abreast of scientific, regulatory and competitive developments and share this knowledge within the group.
· The representation of the French subsidiary and/or the group in relevant technical commissions or working groups related to your responsibilities.
Profil :
Graduated from a Ph.D. in Materials Science, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent, you have approximately ten years of experience in R&D and/or Innovation, ideally in construction materials (cement, concrete, building materials) and/or decarbonization. You have in-depth knowledge of industrial testing standards (EN standards) and the regulatory framework applicable to construction products in France and/or Europe. Charismatic and exemplary, thanks to your leadership, your contributions to research, and your rigorous and consistent oversight of various projects, your are a respected point of contact among your teams and external partners. With a proactive mindset, you know how to strike the right balance between innovation and industrial constraints. Your are fluent in English and French.
